William F. Rogers
Managing Director
Prior to joining The Commercial Capital Corporation in 1980, Bill worked in Corporate and International Banking for a Canadian Chartered Bank. He has an extensive background in corporate finance, having spent most of his career at The Commercial Capital Corporation, financing mid-market companies and advising them with respect to strategic direction, as well as their Merger, Acquisition and Divestiture activities.
Bill is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Trillium Health Centre, Ubiquity Bank of Canada, Cuddy International Corporation and a trustee of Sir Corp. Royalty Income Fund.
Wayne Albo, FCBV, FCA
Chairman
Wayne has been involved in the fields of M&A advisory and business valuation since co-founding the Campbell Valuation Group more than 30 years ago. He founded Calcap Corporate Finance Limited in 1987, a specialized transaction advisory firm for private businesses. Over the last twenty years, Wayne has consulted on more than 300 separate transactions across the full spectrum of North American industries. Acting for either the buyer or the seller, Waynes role has ranged from providing his expertise in valuation and transaction pricing to assuming the role of primary negotiator on behalf of Calcaps clients.
As a well-known Canadian authority on mergers and acquisitions, he is the lead author of The Purchase & Sale of Privately Held Businesses. The third edition of this book, highly regarded for its focus on Canadian transaction issues, was published in September of 2000. Wayne is a graduate of the University of Manitoba (BA) and is a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, and a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers.
William J. Farrell, CA, CBV, MBA
Managing Director
Prior to joining The Commercial Capital Corporation in 1997, Bill worked for a major valuation firm, where he provided valuation litigation support and corporate finance advisory services for large and mid-sized corporations. Prior to that, Bill was a member of a major accounting firms corporate finance group.
Bill is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator and has an MBA from the University of Toronto. Bill is currently a committee member with the Toronto East General Hospital Board of Directors and is on several Canadian private company advisory boards.
Robert D. Bird, CA, CFA
Managing Director
Prior to joining The Commercial Capital Corporation in 1997, Robert was a manager in the audit practice of a major accounting firm. His client base included private and public mid-market clients in a variety of industries.
Robert is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of Queen's Universitys School of Business with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Christine Legein
Vice President
Christine has significant experience in both the operating and corporate development environments. She has coordinated and managed over 25 transactions in such diverse fields as information technology, broadcasting, entertainment, food and beverage, alcoholic beverages and building products for values ranging from $5 million to over $250 million. In addition to M&A assignments, Christine has completed a number of strategic consulting assignments in the food and beverage, sports, entertainment and service industries. Christine is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario (HBA) where she was awarded the Gold Medal for attaining first place standing in her graduating class.
Lori Smith
Vice President
Lori is responsible for the origination of client transactions including divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, and capital restructuring. Prior to joining The Commercial Capital Corporation in 2006, Lori served as Vice President, Business Development for a US asset based lending group. Additionally, Lori spent time in private enterprise, spearheading a North American Sales and Marketing platform for an international industrial manufacturer. A senior role with an academic securities institution also diversified Loris exposure with banking and security regulatory groups.
Lori studied at York University, BAS program. She also obtained her CSC from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Andrew Gouw, LLB, MBA
Associate
Prior to joining The Commercial Capital Corporation, Andrew worked for a major Canadian law firm where he assisted on a variety of transactions involving friendly and hostile takeover bids, public and private mergers and acquisitions and private equity financings. Prior to that, Andrew was with a major accounting firm that provided audit, tax, and advisory services to private and public mid-market clients.
Andrew has a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and graduated with Distinction and the Gold Medallist from the combined LL.B/M.B.A. program offered by the law school at the University of Western Ontario and the Richard Ivey School of Business. Andrew is also a member in good standing of The Law Society of Upper Canada.
Patrick Martin, CA
Associate
Prior to joining The Commercial Capital Corporation, Patrick worked for one of the big four accounting firms in the tax and audit practice area.
Patrick is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business. Pat is involved with several not-for-profit organizations.
Boris G. Tsimerinov, CFA
Associate
Prior to joining The Commercial Capital Corporation and before completing his studies, Boris was with a mid-market mergers and acquisitions advisory firm.
Boris is a CFA charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, specializing in Finance, Quantitative Economics and Mathematics. Boris is a recipient of the George J. Leonidas Graduation Award in Commerce and Finance (highest standing) from the New College of the University of Toronto. Boris is involved with the University of Toronto community and several not-for-profit organizations.
David W. Rogers
Analyst
David is responsible for the design and development of marketing communication material including collateral and presentation documents. He supports the development and implementation of various marketing programs and campaigns. He conducts industry research to supplement the analysis required for client assignments and transactions.
David is a graduate of Sheridan College in their Business Administration program specializing in marketing and communication.
Shayne Aman Premji, BCom
Analyst
Shayne joined The Commercial Capital Corporation after graduating from Queens School of Business with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree. Before graduating, Shayne gained experience with the private global banking group of a Canadian Chartered Bank and a public fund management company.
Eleanor Freitas
Accounting Administrator
Eleanor is responsible for general office management, accounting and administration. Eleanor has been with The Commercial Capital Corporation for 30 years.
